About the villa

Welcome to Villa Grace in Ivan Dolac, Hvar, a peaceful hillside retreat.

  • Villa Transformation: The villa was carefully crafted in 2013 from two old stone houses, blending modern living with Dalmatian charm. Architect Duje Kaliterna preserved its natural beauty.

  • Expansive Layout: It spans 1250m² and consists of two stone houses. The main house (115m²) has a kitchen, living room, master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, a smaller bedroom with bunk beds, and a terrace. The guesthouse is a cozy studio apartment.

  • Modern Amenities: All rooms have AC, and also there is a portable stereo system. There is a smart TV in the lounge, and good WI- FI. Outside, the stone terraces offer stunning views.

  • Scenic Location: Villa Grace is a 40-minute drive from Hvar town.

How to get there

We always recommend our guests to fly into Split airport as the connections to Hvar island are quicker and easier. Ferry is the number one choice to get to the island, and they run all year round.

Ferry (Split port to Hvar)

Duration: 1 - 2 hours

Throughout the peak summer months, from June to September, ferries and catamarans are available for the Split to Hvar route, with up to 18 daily departures, depending on your chosen route. However, in the off-peak season, you can expect 2 or 3 journeys per day, totaling 15 trips per week.

Depending on your specific destination within Hvar, whether it's Hvar Town or Starigrad, the journey duration ranges from one to two hours. The journey sets off from the Port of Split, conveniently located in the heart of the city, providing easy access to major attractions, transportation connections, and various hotels.

For this route, two reputable companies, Jadrolinija and Krilo (Kapetan Luka), offer their services.

Car (Split to Hvar)

Duration: 2+ hrs

If you're on a road trip adventure through Croatia and have your car along for the ride, you're in luck.

Jadrolinija offers a daily ferry service (line no. 635) that departs from the Port of Split and takes you to Starigrad, a journey that lasts around 2 hours. During the summer months, you'll find up to seven daily departures, and in the offseason, there are still up to four. This service is particularly convenient for those exploring the western regions of Croatia or traveling from countries like Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary, and more.

As an alternative option, there's a route departing from Drvenik, which is closer to the eastern part of Croatia and Dubrovnik, and heads to Sucuraj on the easternmost tip of Hvar Island. This shorter journey takes approximately 35 minutes and operates daily, with increased frequency during the peak season. It's worth noting that this route is also operated by Jadrolinija.

Private speedboat (Split port to Hvar)

Duration: 1hr - 1.15hr

While the ferry from Split to Hvar remains the most cost-effective and practical way to reach the island, there's also the option of private speedboats for those seeking a quicker and more stylish arrival on Hvar..
